How it measures

Measured on the laptop. Sent as a number.

Every five seconds, the desktop agent answers one question — was real work happening? — and sends the answer, never the screen.

    Screen change, computed locally

    A fine-grained comparison detects real movement on each monitor. Frames are compared in memory and discarded straight away — nothing is saved or uploaded.

    Input counted, never read

    Keystrokes and clicks are kept as totals. The agent never records which keys were pressed, so typed text can't be reconstructed from anything it holds.

  3. 03

    Calls from the audio engine

    A meeting is when an app is both capturing and playing audio — so a forgotten tab holding the microphone doesn't count. No audio is ever recorded.

  4. 04

    Nothing while you're away

    A locked screen is not captured at all, and doesn't count as time at work.
